What year 300 had an aluminum 2bbl intake?

A guy at work is hooking me up with an aluminum 2 bbl intake. Will it bolt right up in place the the original 65 iron 2bbl intake? Or is it like the 64 4bbl unit?

 

It's like the 64 4bbl.

 

1964 had the aluminum intake. you wont gain any performance by swapping the 64 aluminum for the 65 cast iron as the 65 intake had larger runners and ports and will make more power than the 64. plus the 64 used a hot water style choke which wont be easy to adapt to your 65 carb.

 

Interesting. Maybe we will try to modify the iron one to fit the larger holly 2bbl we want to run.
