Going out at lunch to inspect a 1965 Riviera. From what I remember, it was fairly rusty but complete.

    Any special areas of concern?
What options should I be looking for?
What parts -- sheet metal, interior, whatever -- are unobtainium, and what can be gotten?

Steve-this is just quick as you may already have gone-floors/rockers on these for rust-they are available repop. I hope it's cheap if rusty-they made lots of these and a low or no rust car might be better in the long run-good luck-

Yeah, it looks like a parts car now that I have seen it up close.

    Trim tag:

    053

    ST 65 49447 FB 211239 BDY

    TR 620 HH * PNT

    EXT 2K 2T

    Equipment:
-- Single four barrel nailhead -- all there, runs, but owner says "it may have a blown head gasket" (interpretation: has one, may have two :pp ), exhaust shot.
-- Console shift automatic -- wood deteriorated
    -- Tilt column
    -- Power bucket seats
    -- Power windows
    -- dual door releases
    -- Power antenna
    -- A/C
    -- wire wheel covers

    Condition:
-- everything is there -- clamshells, interior components, engine compartment components.
-- straight, looks like it has never been hit.
-- hood rotted and clearly shot.
-- drivers door good. No room to pen passenger door.
-- Entire interior of trunk shot -- floor and upper package shelf
    -- Rot in the quarters
    -- Trunk lid okay.
-- lots of rot under the battery.
-- suspension sagging, but hard to tell since tires are flat.
-- a little rot around the windshield and rear window, but not much.
-- I imagine the frame etc have serious rot, based on the rot in the rest of the car.

    Pictures
-- Will post some in a little bit once I get the $#@&*"?^ thing working -- apparently it's not in the mood to download right now.

I know what he's asking -- but how much do you guys think it's worth?

Steve-probably 05B=2nd week of May build. HH is Seafoam green top/bottom
It's the upgrade interior with options, but as a parts car, it doesn't look like it helps with your fleet!?
In the midwest $500 happens a lot. When I visit Calif more like $1000-I don't know about your coast of Florida. I just had a similar '65 dumped in the yard-been sitting for 25 years-a pretty bad rusty thing, engine turns and the frame is fine-you have to check. Lots more parts support out there for 1st gen Rivs than 2nd for sure. For me, I part a rusty car-fix a solid one

Pics are finally attached. (Batteries in the camera died before I could photograph the whole car).

I kinda think it would have to be a parts car, too.

I'm interested in the rear bucket seats and entire rear interior if it is salvagable and/or able to be recovered. I want to put it in my 68 Riv.
