The manual states that I should have 8.75-15 tires on it. The car has J78-15 tires on it right now. What size (P-metric) radials should I put on this car? I was guessing something like P225-75R15 but I'm not sure.....

    Thanks!!!

    look at P245 or P255 R70 x 15 tires . i would guess that the rims are 7 inches wide .

    Scott,
J78-15 has a diameter of 28.72" and a section width of 8.70" when mounted on a 6" wide rim. How's your speedo accuracy and do they look right on the car? I agree with Gerry, a P255/70R-15 is 29.1" in diameter with a 10" section width. That would be a close match. BF Goodrich Radial TA's come in that size. A P235/75R15 is 28.86" in diameter with a 9.25" section width, a little closer. Hope that helps.
