What springs?

I've pretty much finished my project, just doing some finishing touches now. I was wondering what springs everyone is using? I plan on lowering the car a little and putting some 17's on it. I'm going to get rear lowering springs, but I'm not sure about the front... I like the height of the factory springs in the front with the big block, but would I need something a little stiffer? Does any company even make stiffer springs that would keep it the same level as it is now? Thanks in advance...

I'm also looking to buy some 17" wheels if anyone has some for sale...

Eibach makes a kit 1" lower, with a slightly higher spring rate.

Are you looking to make the corninering better, or just stiffen up the ride?

Trying to get a little better handling and I like the way it looks lowered, I just wasn't sure if the OE springs would be stiff enough to handle the extra weight without causing the tires to rub sometimes or any other problem. I know for better handling I'm probably going to need more than just springs, but this is where I'm starting.

Well, you're on the right track. One suggestion is to start with the cheaper, easier, and bigger improvement: $5 jounce bars. Regals were not equipped with them from the factory, but they're common on wrecker grand prix's and can be installed in well under an hour. Best handling improvement in the Regals IMHO.

Thanks... I'm getting exhaust put on it Monday, then I can start driving it. Can't wait...

Frame ties and jounce bars... for $15 you'll get as much bang as the QA-1's. :TU: What wheels are you running?

I'll definitely look into that. I thought I'd be driving it by now, but it looks like I'm going to have to buy a new radiator. A guy I work with told me he put a 430 in a Regal a while back and the stock radiator worked fine, but mine is overheating so I'm still without a car for a while. I have the stock 15" t-type wheels. I want to get 17" torq thrust II's or something similar.

Hey Clint, here's your stupid question of the week/day...
Where are the jounce bars located on a Grand Prix? I know of a bone yard that has a couple of GPs there.
