What 4 spd shifter to use with the floor console

I'm going to be installing a floor console in my 70 GS but I know it won't work with my Hurst Super Shifter. Is there an aftermarket shifter I can use with this console?

    Thanks

I would love to...but talk about chicken lips  Where would I get one, the shifters that YO and OPG sell state that they will not work with the factory console?

I have a 70 GS 455 conv 4 speed with console. I used a hurst shifter and linkage for a 65 GS. The handle follows the same contours as the original shifter except it is about 2 inches shorter. Since it designed for a 65 there will be no reverse lockout linkage. You can use the original GM 4 speed linkage if you have it and or add the reverse lockout to the new linkage. The shifter has been in my car since 1991 has seen 60000 miles and over 250 tips down the 1/4 mile at the GS Nats, Norwalk Buick Race Day and Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Race in MI. It fits the console no problem. I purchased it from Summit or Jegs, can't remember which one.

    Rick,

Take a look at the 4-speed 442's for the shifter and the linkage. I have a 442 shifter/linkage (don't know the year) and it is identical to the shifter/linkage in my GSX. The only difference is the "442" written on the shifter handle. The shape of the shifter is identical to the GSX's. The handle can be replaced.

FYI, I found the shifter in a 57 Chevy. I took it because the shifter base and all of the linkage was literally PERFECT. It still has the original plating with zero pitting or rust or wear.

For some reason, 442 shifters are fairly inexpensive.
