What is the name of the piece

that bolts to the bottom of the bellhousing covering the bottom of the
flywheel? Is the part available? I don't drive in the wet at all but would still
like this part if I can get it. Thanks Pete

 

The part is called a transmission inspection cover. Lots of them around for automatics, not sure if they differ on MS.

 

yes they are different on a manual trans.

Thanks guys I just saw one on ebay---thing is HUGE:eek2: looks like the bellhousing,tranny,and driveshaft have to be dropped
to slide it in--I thought it was just a 3 bolt cover on the
bottom. Pete

no you dont have to drop anything to install it.
and that one on ebay is not a correct piece though it will work fine
go to mrbuick.com and check out his as it is a correct replacement of the original
