This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. im asking about the 1958 buick special and want to know what is the difference between a 4 door sedan and a 4 door hardtop?

Best way to explain is put both windows down on the cars. With the Sedan you still have the window/door frames in the opening with a hardtop and both windows down the whole space is wide open. Cool car either way.:TU:

Here is a pic of my 58 Special if it helps any.

Those are some cools cars for sure.My family and I even went out and picked our Christmas tree up in it (strapped to the roof on a blanket, probably would have fit in the glovebox too heh heh).

Excellent memories, the color took a little getting use to for me:rolleyes: but it was like a people magnet.

Guess they figured "How dangerous can that guy be driving a "pink" car:laugh:

Congrats on your purchase we really miss ours but I did swap it for a 70 Stage 1 so that made it alright at the time.

Now the Stage is gone too:ball:

Anyhow enjoy your car, got any pictures for us?:TU:

And tailgated, and came alongside you, sat there and stared at your car and not the road.
Some may have even slowed down to see what the heck was in their rear view mirror, all the while not paying attention to the road in front of them.
Ahhh.... The joys of driving an old car.

I love those chrome slathered '58's! :beer
