    Hello Everyone,

Small tear in a white top, 3 inches, fabric not vinyl.

I'm looking for a quick, temp fix.

    Iron on material?

    Suggestions please.

    Thanks

  4. If it is indeed a quick fix, duct tape is tops on the list. They sell it in white, and I have gotten a year out of white duct tape on the top of a company van covering holes before.

Once you get into repair kits, epoxies, sewing, it is no longer a "quick fix."

Are you looking for a permanent fix over replacing the whole top, or one that takes little time?

I've used duct tape, or sometimes vinyl tape. I'd tape on the inside, and use tape of the top color for the outside. Once I put some emblem glue on the tape too.

The only way to really fix it is to replace it - so decide if you want to replace the top sooner or later. That should help you decide if you want to tape it or do something a bit more lasting.

    Thanks for the info.

Looks like Duct Tape is the way to go.

    Rip is on the side.

The previous owner had the top on incorrectly and it was pinched by the top frame.

I have already corrected the alignment.

The car is inside and not out in the weather.

I will be doing a new top in the next year.

Putting the money into floor pans first.

    Thanks Again!

    Chad
