I used the same headers that were on the 71 Lark when I swapped the 455 into the Regal. L fit with no issues the R needed a ding near the rear A arm bushing.
Okay thank you very much was there a certain brand hair did you use and was it a long tube headers or shorty?
Long tubes and Im not sure what brand they were. Bought em used off the board a few years ago. Get and use Remflex gaskets.
I have a 455 with Stage 2 heads. I used the headers sold by TA Performance. Not cheap, but they fit very well for me, Briz is right, the right rear lower A-Arm mount gets real close to the No.4 cyl. tube on my car. Check to see if anyone's got something on the board. It's been a while since I have looked here, so I'm a bit late with the reply.
When I drop the new engine in with the S3 heads I plan on building my own fender well headers. Not sure if I will go out the bottom or through the fender fwd or aft of the tire.
... Yes they will with NO clearance issues. I have the TA Long Headers ... more torque I was told. I have the stainless steel set ... as soon as the damp outside air hit them ... rust began to form. I should have paid the extra $ and had them coated. They are great, regardless. Today's video; non-related ... but you can hear them in other videos on my Youtube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEw-fqN2W8M
Awesome, I have a set on the engine that's currently in my gs. Mine are ceramic coated but the engine has no miles on it so I'm not sure how well the coating resists rust.
... I also changed the stock upper control arms to an aftermarket chrome-moly set (2-RIGHT side/passenger side arms MANDATORY) from Speedway Motors. I almost forgot. :idea2: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/?gclid=CN37_Jjw_McCFdYWHwod-bYNjg
