what engine is it?

    Can Anyone Help Me Identify An Aluminum Head V8 4 Barel Iron Bloc With A Casting No. B 1357943 . This Casting No. Is Located At The Rear Of The Intake. What Other Info Is On The Motor To Help With The Identification. Thanks Jeff

    Assuming it is a Buick, it is a 300 out of a 64 Buick. It's the only aluminum headed iron block v8 Buick that was made, and one year at that.

    Yup , Adam is right on. 4bbl carb,[carter] 11.1 comp. , dual exhausts, aluminum heads and intake, wider tire rims, [I dont know what that did]
    Rated at 250 hp. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
    Just DO NOT run water in the cooling system. It eats the living crap out of the aluminum heads and intake. When working on it dont even think about an impact wrench. Marry your torque wrench and make anti seize compound an old friend. :Smarty:
