The weather here is great today. Decided to take the Buick out to finish up my Christmas shopping and pick up a couple prescriptions. Went to the local outdoor mall (Wiregrass Mall for those that are familiar with the area), then Sam's Club, The the Vet's office, and lastly Walmart. I was skeptical about going to Walmart, but it was close to the Vet's and I got a great parking spot. The Buick just made the whole 35 mile trip way better!
I had to blow the horn at her when the turn light came on. Not that I'm one to talk, but I think she was playing with her phone.
I looked at my Skylark today and thought about how smitten I was with her 30 years ago. Time flys by in the blink of an eye.
Opened the back garage, yep its still there.... checked the snap traps and cleaned out one mickey in a deep sleep....
I really try not to do that to this car... makes it tougher to take out or work on! I was informed of some last minute items we need for the dish we are taking to the parents house for Christmas dinner. So, today I braved the crazies that waited until the day Mary's water broke to go shopping, and took the Buick. Had to drop off something to my lady at the salon she works at, too. Very happy with that Cold Case radiator I put in. A lot of idling waiting to get out of the Publix parking lot and the temp gauge never went over 170.
I realized the other day that my trailer and dragster were less than a few hours away from ready for Bowling Green "race ready " That is a new record for me... We are building the new engine this winter but my plan "B" is plenty quick/fast and ready to go. I didn't even get my trailer until last February so I'm happy today, as I took this picture of the Supercat
I've put the fuel tank back in its place. The to do list to be able to start it again gets shorter and shorter. Starter motor, wiring harness, ignition coil, distributor, spark plugs. And I need to fill it up on oil. I suppose that's it. But first 2 days of family visits, so let's see what I can do next week. Merry Christmas everyone.
Acquired a SRE pan for the Tomahawk. Showed up in the mail yesterday. Better than Santa and a box under the tree any day!
Pictures of the pan. Was it a standard style pan or custom? Got to admire Steve's creative works. Yours too Briz
Looks great Briz. The pan for the dragster will look more like the front part of your pan. Is your build gas or alcohol?
Took about a 45 minute ride yesterday after family time was winding down. Then decided to drop the top today and enjoy the 70+ degree day in style. Drove it to lunch and a few other places before putting it back in the garage. The 3.23 posi rear really woke it up on take off while still allowing for comfortable cruise rpm.
