I replaced the rear coils on my 68 Skylark with TRW CC623's They are 68 GS 400 HD coils....it sits about
1 1/2 taller in rear. I can live with that. I'm having a shock problem now.
New monroe-matics 33082. They seem to short? And offer no initial dampening action at all. If you bounce back of car up and down several times, its like shocks pump up and work?? I'm bouncin like i have no shocks at all............

68skylark2: you've extended the travel range of the shocks. You can purchase shock extentions ( looks like an H and bolts at the T tops ) or purchase longer shocks.

Personally, I'd sell the coils that raise the back that much for the right ones or aftermarket ones such as Hotchkis or Global West, but thats jsut me

your other option, as mentioned above, is longer shocks.

length. Was at NAPA at 8 am......had them in stock. Rides like a Buick should ride now :3gears:
