I have yet to find any paper work on my car but have found 2 stickers both with dealers names on them. The first is in the drivers door jam on the door. Sam Johnson Ackerman Buick, INC The second is on the trunk lid. I think its HUBLER? DUBLER? Underneath it reads: Louis. MO. The car was built in Kansas City. My guess is it was sold at Ackerman. Anyone know if these dealers are still in business? any chance they would have any type of paperwork on my car? Louie EDIT: did a search on Ackerman buick and they are still around. http://www.dexknows.com/business_profiles/ackerman_buick_inc-l809600150 Ill give them a call this week.
From http://buickgsx.net/Dealer Codes by Zone.pdf Dealer code 12-144 Ackerman Buick, inc. 2900 Pershall Rd. The "Hubler" sticker is probably from a used car lot somewhere in the car's history I would guess.
Is this your 1972 Stage-1 car or your 1970 GS or a different car? If it is the 1972 Stage-1 you can get documentation on the car from Sloan Museum for $55.00. If it is 1970 and an early car VIN less than 193??? and made in flint or any other plant you can get information from Sloan. If the 1970 car has a VIN greater than 193??? and made in Flint contact Wayne Roberts. Mark
Just an FYI. Currently HUBLER is a multi Franchise GM dealer with several locations last time I checked. They are currently located in Indiana.
