  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy..   3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. You will be contacted by Teresa to make payment for the wheel(s) and return shipping and insurance when your wheel(s) is complete. what color help!

    hey i have a 72 skylark which was repainted copper/brown metallic 10-15 years ago....under that paint i see a mustard gold? like color and would rather not go back to the grampa gold w/ a vinyl top.....the car has the trim intact for the top but the vinyls long gone...i mean what are my color choices in that year....and id wanna sound a little educated on the fact when i go to get it redone....i.e what would i say black? shiney black? lol what would you do get a top or take off the trim and cut off the T studs.....help open to any idea

    Two tone pain cars came with the same trim as if it had vinyl I beieve 72 vinyl top colors were black , white, dk brown and green if you go that route

    I'm not 100% sure of this but I think the cars with a painted roof had different trim than those with a vinyl roof. I know it sounds a little crazy but a few years ago the son of a friend of mine had a `72 that had been made into a GSX clone. He wanted to put it back to original with the painted roof and discovered by another Buick guy that the trim was different. If I can remember it I'll find out for sure, but I'm sure someone here already knows the answer.

    I've seen several different styles of vinyl tops for 72. the standard full coverage top that goes to the drip rails , and the "halo" that stops about two inches from the edge, and the Suncoupe variety. Those halo versions look wierd, in my opinion.
