For some reason 58# comes to mind. I'll have to check when I get home.

I can live with installing an intake while the negine's in the car, but how about heads??? Fully assembled iron non-ported (cheater)

I about died when I have to pull them...and the right side still have the exhaust manifold attached to it:eek2: I'd say close to 85lbs for that one.....60-70 without the manifold stuck to it:grin:

The intake does feel heavier than 47lbs...I was thinking over 55.:Do No:

    Re; heavy cylinder heads....

Years ago, when 430 cylinder heads became popular, I lived in Texas, and there was a junkyard where, once a year they had an "all you can carry for $25.00" event. Rules were you had to physically carry all of your purchase for a distance of about 50 yards. Having scoped out the yard, I went in and pulled a set of 430 heads, but horrors, could not remove EITHER exhaust manifold. Of course, it started raining while we were pulling parts, and the Buicks were at the far corner of the yard.

I pulled the heads, then carried them all the way to the front of the yard, one in each hand, with my fingers hooked into the valve cover area (with many stops to gasp and curse!) and finally made it through the "50 yard trial" course. I was grateful for the bargain, but I couldn't pick up an inkpen without shaking for about a week!

My arms are still way too long for my body...

The 73 smanifold (smog manifold) is heavier. It has some extra cast iron (or is it depleted uranium?) next to the heads.

The scale at USPS said 54 lbs for my stripped 350 manifold.

It was only wrapped in a little cardboard and a lot of packing tape.
