Can the WCFB carburetor be adjusted for high alitude? Years ago when we came from a low elevation state to Colorado, I remember stopping at a garage and having the jets (?) changed to compensate for the change in elevation. I drive my 55 Century at 6000 to 12,000 feet in elevation, and can't seem to get the fuel mixture lean enough to run smooth. Can the metering rods be changed for high alitude, or what do you change if anything? Buckeye

Yes. Smaller jets and/or larger metering rods. Another fix is turbocharging or supercharging.

What he said. The only problem will be finding someone who knows anything about carburetors. You may have to hunt for a bit. Also, you would probably be better off to find someone who specializes in this kind of work. Parts for these carburetors can be had, but they don't grow on trees.
