  3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. You will be contacted by Teresa to make payment for the wheel(s) and return shipping and insurance when your wheel(s) is complete. The shipping will be factored on your delivery address and insurance. I will be sending the contact information all of you have sent me to Teresa at Kochs. Send in your wheels, horn pad and hardware and paint color sample if applicable. Please include: First and Last Name Shipping Address Phone number email address V8Buick "Member Name" Wheel Color (SEE THE BOTTOM FOR WHEEL COLOR) Pease read the "shipping to Kochs" below. There are two addresses. One for USPS Mailing One for FedEx and UPS shipping You can use USPS/Mail, UPS or FedEx to send in your core. WB O2 display systems?

I'd like to ask you guys some questions about WB O2 systems. What are the likes and dislikes with the differant ones you used or thought about using? Does anyone build one with an output that has a programmable digital, not analog output for use use as a lean condition alarm or trigger? I'd like to find one that I could program the output for when the engine goes lean at a preset level to trigger another device through a transistor or mosfet. So the voltage output/current from the WB could be minimal for just triggering what I want to do. I'm open to suggestions.

Just use the WB analog output and put it to a op-amp comparator with an adjustable threshold point. Have that drive your MOS.

Or you can buy an Accel Datalogger/Wideband O2. It has a programmable lean alarm and comes with a gauge if you want. Nice piece and very accurate.

What is the operating range of the Accel's o2 readings?

Just curious, what are you going to have the signal do?

Turn on a N25 opto-isolator that's will trigger a mosfet to run an extra fuel injector when it's at full throttle and at 2# of boost or better. I figured it would keep the engine from going lean if the carb is not jetted right, too rich would be better than too lean. I figure it will one of several things, #1 it might hammer the engine with an "extra pump shot", then ocilate on/off at the right A/F ratio, # 2 just plain hammer the engine rich and surge. #3 keep the engine at the preset alarm level and I'll know I need to jet richer. I figure if it works, great, if not I'll learn something from trying. I figure the opto will not over load the output from the WBO2 and then I can use the 12V side of the opto to do the real high current work. I'm trying to figure out a way to use either a LM339 in a way I can preset a 0-5VDC level to use it as the trigger or figure out a way to use a LM3914 to do the same thing. If anyone wants to jump in with a Diagram for me to try I'm game, I'm still learning how to work with electronics. I've helped a buddy build a turbo Ford stroker with a turbo system that he's going to have a "stock EFI' and he said I can try it out on his engine to see if it works. I figured why not, worse thing it can do is kill a Ford.

supremeefi, thanks for the input. I have not looked at them before. I looked at Summit Racing and they are nice units, kind of pricey too. But it did start me thinking, the input was helpful.

I was looking around on the 'net and found a rich/lean switch for NOX systems and I think I may go that route and use a mosfet on the output side instead of a relay like they recommind for now. It looks like the systems uses a constant ground signal that opens the NOX relay when the engine goes lean. I'll just have to invert that signal somehow to when it opens it'll turn on a Mosfet and fire the injector. I'm waiting for a reply back from one of the companies to see what the speed of the switch control they use is. It's made to plug/play with several brands of WBO2 monitors. The one I've been looking at also has an input for a TPS and a few other bells and whistles.
