well here is whats up...i take the car to a trusted mechanic...friend of mine. well the estimate came up to $2,300 o i have been talking with autozone. and pretty much i will never buy anything there again. the have been giving me the run around...call this person call this pers call that person...so can any one help?? well then they give me a nuber to call and it has been disconcted.....so i have my dad call and he raised hell... so now we are talking to the head guy in the claims department and i think he is going to help me out...at least thats what he has said...now he says its gunna take anotherfour weeks to get my cheak...grrrrr......so now instead of taking it o the shop i am having my dad drive out of az to come to ca and fix my car. So can anyone recommend an awsome water pump????? like electric or mechanical....???? and where can i pick up a pully for my water pump if i go with a mechanical pump...but mainly who makes a good electric or mechanical pump...performace and reliability wise that is?????

I dont think you can go wrong with TA performance.Everything I have bought
from them so far has been A1 quality. You might pay a little more but its worth
    it.

The T/A pump is a stock replacement. Brand new!!!!! Not a reman.
For $60 it will be well worth it.
I'd also see if you can locate another pulley. Something doesn't seem right and without pictures or being there to see for myself I can't make the right call.

This may make you feel better. The reason I'm responding to this post right now? I just pulled the car back into the driveway. Was heading out to meet with the rest of the "Strong Island Crew" to caravan up to the spring meeting for the Northeast GS/GN Club. Made it 1/2 mile from the house and the pump launched the fan. Mine went down though so the shroud and rad took most of the abuse. Will have to straighten the core support too.
Gotta Love Springtime!!!! Look forward to this every year!!!!! :Dou:
