I'm adapting a mopor tunnel ram to my stage2 heads. I have charlie's adaptor plates. These plates are tapped on one end for water ports. I think they are 3/8 NPT. This has me concerned that there is no way to flow enough water with an ID around 1/2". Also, these holes are places low in relation to the heads square water passage. Probably on purpose to allow room for plumbing the #10 fittings. My other option is to tap the freeze plug hole on the end of the head. This car still needs an alternator which raises a whole mounting issue. Anyone relocate their water?
Drill and tap 2 more holes at the back of the spacers and run 4 -8's to a manifold 2 from the front and 2 from the back.CSR makes a billet manifold moroso has a fabricated version I'll see if I can get a few pics of the manifolds.
David, I have a feeling your not going to like that intake. I think the plenum is way too big. I am interested how it works out. Good luck!
Here's a link I like to use: http://www.grapeaperacing.com/GrapeApeRacing/tech/inductionsystems.pdf The actual measured plenum volume is 208 cui. This is 45% of my engines displacement. Very close to the optimum. The runner length is just 3/4" shorter then i'd like but also very close to ideal. I think she going to run. On the water issue I decided to pull water from the front of the heads. It's easier to hang the alternator off the drivers side just above the manual steering box.
Intake Hey David, I have a REALLY nice SPX intake you should use. :TU: WANNA TRADE!! :Brow: :Brow: :Brow: It's like new!! Talk to you later, Jeff
I'll bring the jig saw over tonight! Hey, Mikes looking to build a bad A$$ 430 for next years Engine Masters. Maybe we should just enter Leavers motor. Over the limit at 442cui. To bad. :3gears:
