I am looking for a Edelbrock 1407 carb. I don't care if it needs a rebuild, as long as it's useable and only spent a short period of time on the titanic. Must be a 1407, I don't believe any other numbers will work. I am looking for one on the cheap side. Thanks.
I have a 1410 rebuilt ready to go. The 1410 is a 750 electric choke with no vacuum ports. Its designed as marine carb. I rebuilt it, test ran it on a 502, b4 installing the customers 850 holley 250 plus shipping
Thanks Bens99gtp but a 1410 is not going to work trying to find a match to my 1407, also above my budget. I was hoping to to find one in the 40-50 ish range.
Good luck. I haven't seen 1 in thst range in a long time......ifbyou find one it will be basically unsavable
Did you try evil bay?!? I looked up a Ford kick down style Emission Holley (600 cfm vac secondary) recently- prices all over the map. $79 to $249. No $5o units though.
I could go up to 80. I have a nice 650 I could trade as well. Or many rebuildable q-jet options I could trade.
Most used carbs anymore under 100 look like they dug them out ground after they were steam rolled. Nasty, crusty, froze up, ate up......good look
I am looking for a carb with the same primary and secondary butterflies. I am trying to get carbs for a dual quad intake I have. I think the 750 is the only one with the same size butterflies. Also I have one 750 already so now I just need another.
I think all the edelbrocks shave the same size butterflies........dual 500s or 600s might be better choice.......1500cfm is alot to injest for tamer motors
I agree 1500 cfm is a lot. I thought they all had the same size butterfly too but I got 2 carbs already and the 750 has the same size and the other has different sizes. The smaller one doesn't have a part number only reman. Back in they day it would have had 650s or bigger on it so it's possible. May need 50 jets in it, and a dry shot of nitrous to clean it up. Hahaha.
