Hi, I am looking for a solid 59 buick 2-door. The car can be running or not running, and in any color. It must be a 2-door bubble top. If you know of one, please call Mike at 815-540-8740 anytime of day.

Mike, what kind of price range are you looking at? Are you looking to restore or customize? I know of a couple that might be available.

Well a little of both, I want to build a car that looks bone stock down ot the steel wheels and white walls, but is capable of running 12 seconds. A 59 Buick is without a doubt the meanest looking car ever made, and it would be even meaner if had the sound of a built 455 Buick coming out of it. I would like to find a car with a clean glass, sheet metal, trim, and interior (im not too concerned about the drive train). I am looking to spend around $8,000. If you know of any that fit my description, please contact me. Thanks, Mike

Mike, the reason I asked what you were going to do with the car is that the two I know of are owned by people that want them to go to someone who is going to maintain them as original cars and not modify them. I want to respect their wishes, so neither would be a good candidate for what you want to do.

Well, the car would still be restored and well cared for. It would be restored all correctly and no one would beable to tell it is modified at all until it fires up. It would still be buick powered, its not like I would put 22" rims with airbags and subwoofers. I would have the original rims and tires and 100% original interior. I think any true buick enthusiest would find it acceptable. Are you sure none of the cars you know of would be a good canidate for such a project?

Mike, one of them is definitely out of the question as it is priced almost double what you are looking to spend and he most emphatically does not want it modified at all. The second one is a maybe. It is a base Lesabre 2 door hardtop. No power steering or brakes. Had a triple turbine tranny in it, but now has a dynaflow. It does have a newly rebuilt and numbers matching 364, so not sure what he would think about changing out the drivetrain. Price is $8000. I will get in touch with him this weekend and see if he is interested in selling it.

    Mike,

I talked to the owner this weekend. He would prefer that whoever buys the car, keep it as original as possible. If he changes his mind, he said he would let me know.

Would you be able to get me the phone # of the owner? I am very interested in it. If he prefers for it to be kept stock, I respect that and may just keep it as a driver. My plans to put Buicks meanest motor in Buicks meanest looking car can be put off, I wouldnt want to tear apart an original car like that. However, It is too nice of a car for me to pass up.
    Thanks, Mike
