Hi I need a new motor for my 65 Riv. I currently have a cracked block. If possible I'd like to find one here in the upper midwest, I live in MN but am willing to buy and ship also. If anyone has any leads on anything it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ted
401-425 motors A local junkyard has a few still in the cars. However, it's in eastern Massachusetts along the coast. Not a problem to ship on a palet to MN. I am going there today because he also has a 70 GS 455 car sitting there just rotting away. I will get his phone # and you can call him direct. He is a one-man operation. You should check out eBay and look under junk/parts cars and add Buick to your search. I've seen quite a few big Buicks and Rivs in the past few months with 401/425's. A few of these have been in the upper Midwest, too. Most are parts cars or possible resto projects but a few had decent motors.
