Are you needing one for left side or right side ? any mirror from any 68 or 69 buick will work as they are all the same how "nice" are you looking for ? I may have one that has a few pit marks but certainly isn't trashy looking
Where do you get a mirror for the right side? I thought they all came with just a driver's side mirror.
FYI: For my 68 Ive had a right side mirror on back order withParts Place for a few months now, and no word so far on when theyll ship. <o></o>
ive got a set from a 68 wildcat no gaskets and I think one mounting bracket maybe missing. they are driver not show quality
There is a reinforcing plate on the inside of the left door where the mirror mounts. There is no plate on the inside of the R door. That would lead me to believe that the Riv was not intended to have a R mirror. I put a set of 70 GS mirrors on my Riv and fabricated the plate out of aluminum then JB welded it to the inside of the door panel and bolted the mirror mount through it. Been 2 years and its still rock solid.
Hi: Will they fit a Riv? Is the driver side a remote control unit? Finally, can you shoot a few pics? Thanks, Paul ---------- Post added at 10:44 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:44 AM ---------- Hi: what are you looking ot get for it? Is it a remote control unit? Thanks, Paul ---------- Post added at 10:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:44 AM ---------- Hi Louis: If you still have the pass side mirror can you shoot me a few pics and let me know how much you're looking to get? I'm also looking for a clean driver side remote mirror. Thanks, Paul
The driver side rear view mirror was standard of course, and came with an option for remote control with the little adjusting lever on the driver door. The passenger side rear view mirror was a dealership installed option with no remote control available. The passenger side mirrors are much tougher to come by. I think the driver side rear view mirrors are the same style across the board in 1968 for all Buicks. They have chrome mounting and body with a rectangular shape, and the adjustable mirror is inside the chrome housing. If they are not same style for all 1968 Buicks, somebody please correct me. :spank: I can point you to a mirror from a 1968 Skylark that is on my way to home in here in Shreveport. If you want, I can drive by and check this week as to the condition of this mirror. With that said, this Skylark is sitting out in the open on two major streets in Shreveport and hopefully the mirror has not been vandalized or stolen.
Hi Guys: I too am looking for LH and RH side mirrors for '68/'69 Riviera. Alan, Louie, still selling? Paul
Not that it matters, and just to add another source: I have a spare, decent, 'driver quality', remote, left hand, drivers side mirror for a '68, or '69 Riviera - there is no gasket, mounting hardware is included. I can take some pictures if anyone is interested. I am also looking for a right hand '68 mirror - there were some reproductions made a while back. :TU:
