I am looking for my first Buick. I have been wanting to get my hands on one for years now, but have not had the chance. I had been on the lookout for a decent driver or starter car until the A/C in my house decided to go a couple weeks ago and set me back a nice $9k to have the entire system replaced. So needless to say the funds are nearly what they were, but I am still keeping my hopes up to find something reasonable. Otherwise I will have to wait a few years until I pay off some more bills and then take out a loan to finance some Buick muscle. Anyway, I apologize for the sob story, here is what I am looking for. I would like to get into one of the following.

2 door hardtop cars. Sorry I'm just not a convertible kind of guy.

1970 Skylark GS (455 preferably, but may consider 350) - I know this one is probably out of the question, but it's what I have my sights set on anyway if I can find a good deal or someone willing to be very generous. ;)

1966 Skylark - Preferably a GS, if not then I would like to find a decent Custom that I could try to get on the street fairly quickly and can work at making it my own and upgrading the drivetrain if needed.

1967 Skylark - Again preferably a GS, if not then a nice Custom would be good.

None of these need to be show cars, it would be nice, but I highly doubt I could afford a show car right now. I am looking for a decent driver or sometihng fairly solid that I could get on the road and fix it up as I go. If there is some minor cosmetics that needs to be fixed I am OK with that. I have always wanted a project and I figure if I am going to get one I need to do it right and get some Buick muscle.

If anyone has anything in their collection they are thinking about parting with I would appreciate the lead. Also if anyone has any good leads you come across I would appreciate the heads up as well. I will keep my eye out in the For Sale and Leads sections of the boards as well.

    Thanks everyone for your time,
