Wasn't real sure what W-32 was. Sounds like a stick cam in an auto? Learn something every day. https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0522-502541/1969-oldsmobile-442-w-32/
Anyone know if this one was from Ontario Canada for sale a number of years ago? Definitely a rare Olds.
There are folks that know this vastly better than I, but I think it is essentially a W30 equipped with an automatic transmission, and furnished with the hotter manual transmission camshaft.
I had a W32 back in the 70-80s and regret selling it. There are a number of items not right with the restoration so I would recommend really checking this one closely. You need documentation to ensure it’s the real deal.
There were only like 232 of them built. But yes, has the W30 Ram Air, Auto with a milder cam. Don't quote me on the production, but I know I'm fairly close, less than 250 for sure.
I believe this car is from British Columbia, just purchased here in 2015. Without the VIN, I cannot be 100% sure but it sure looks like it (same color and stripe color). The car was shipped new to Vancouver as per the Canadian Vintage Vehicle Services documentation. It is possible the 2015 sale went to Ontario but I do not know that for certain.
Thanks for sharing, never seen or heard of W32, very interesting, sharp looking car I like the color combo, the chrome trim with hurst wheels
I spotted one recently in SoCal and we talked about it on ClassicOldsmobile. The thread has some good info on the W-32's. https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/cars-sale-10/1969-442-w32-25-000-san-clemente-not-mine-159643/

The Torino had a 4 speed and was fun to drive. Overall, though, the 442 was nicer and a bit more faster.
