NOT MINE Chris Pollak alerted me to this and even though I was about --> <---- that close to buying it, reality set in and I'd rather find something a little bit closer to home when its that close to my budget line. Guys name is Mike, very nice guy on the phone, seems honest, real Buick guy here. Car is a 1967 Buick Skylark Convertable, red with with a black top. Has factory tilt, but no AC. Currently has rallye wheels, a custom stereo setup, and a 1970 Sport Wheel instead of the stock steering wheel. Car by description is very well maintained. Paint is roughly 10-15 years old and shows some chips. Best thing to do is contact him - I have not seen the car in person nor do I really know this guy but he seems good. Here are some photos he sent me. Trunk had surface rust so previous owner did heavy coat of rubberized undercoating. Needs to be stripped and splatter painted, but he says the pan itself is actually very solid. Car has a new roof and it works fine, not even noisy. Bad part is there is a rip in the center of the dash pad. Other than that, looks to be a great driver for someone on the west coast. I honestly wish I were closer. He's selling it to buy back a car he sold to his father so his father can finish one of his projects. His prices are firm. 12,000 as it sits, 10,000 with everything returned back to stock. He's looking to sell fast and may bring it to the Goodguys show this weekend, so jump on it! He'd rather see it go to a real Buick guy. Best thing to do is to email or call him. He's very fast at responding. I can't find his home number now but his cell is 831-207-2793 and his email address is mikesgmtoys@earthlink.net Name is Mike, located in Central California.
Here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967...ryZ16124QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem. Condsidering how a clone GS400 just sold for near $20,000 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967...85QQihZ008QQcategoryZ6144QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and a Skylark HT with a thrown in 455 fetched over 16 with just wheelwell trim I'd say it's a deal for the BIN price. Especially if someone has most of the parts make it a clone GS400. Ray
