67 buick, skylark. After market tank. 2 nipples at back left (drivers side). Always had spillage issues at WOT. If I look at shop manual they show 2 hoses clipped up into the rear bumper. Well that set up always leaves evidence behind. Any suggestions?

Lol! So that is the solution! I have been dealing with this cunnundrum for years!! Bitchin and complaining about engineers, what were they thinking etc...So the restrictor filters prevent the fuel from spilling out... guess mine were replaced with regular hoses with no restrictors at some point. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Michael, the restrictor filter was there originally. Sometimes one or more of those 2 hoses get blocked by dirt, bugs or whatever. Sometimes the wrong hose(s) are used and they get kinked where they bend. Finally, the hoses need to be high, like higher than the bracket that's there to hold them. I just looked quick for that item, but that type of thing should fit.

I received my 2 hoses that I ordered on ebay. The larger Diameter hose has a foam insert on the end and a staple through the hose to hold it in place. The smaller diameter hose has nothing on it. I will install it and keep my fingers crossed. What I had done on my previous set up was 5ft of the small diameter hose ran it towards the front of the car pigged tailed the last 12 inches and attached it above the rear diff. I would still have spillage, however the larger vent hose was capped off.

I will mount the kit I received and report back.

Michael, those hoses should run straight up from the tank to about the top of the bumper top. There should be a bracket on the tail panel to hold them. Often, the bracket gets broken off. I would think any hose down around the diff is too low. The top of the hoses have to be higher than the top of the tank, or they can siphon fuel. See what happens....
