Just pay attention to the very end. They use a Camaro as a "stunt double" for the white Challenger.

I have it on VHS too, I probably ought to get it on DVD while it's still possible.
Cleavon Little, Delaney & Bonnie, and a raft of bit-part and character actors from back in the day. I always admired the 4WD capabilities of that ChallengerToo!

too bad the Challenger could not get up to speed for the fianl scene, so they had to send in a real car to do it...........

The real reason they used a Camaro was because a Challenger would have driven right through that bulldozer:TU:

Actually they used a 1967 Camaro because the 5 Challengers were on loan from Chrysler and had to be returned upon completion of the film. :TU:

From the looks of some of those cars (after the jumps) I'm surprised Chrysler wanted them back.

I read that the only one that got really bent was the one they jumped at the river. :TU:

I love the drawn artwork on vintage posters - not like the dumb photo close up of actor's faces that seem to be on all posters today. Check out this two posters from Vanishing Point - one is from Japan and the other is from Italy.
