Valve spring pressures Just checked valve springs with the moroso tool never used it before to have a base line but I have a 508s cam and the valve spring were ta 1160 that are 160lbs @ 1.90 which is in stalled height with the tool it breaks the valve seat at between 115lbs and 120lbs they have 100+ run them do you think I need new set or is that ok??
Re: Valve spring pressures You my want to Pull two off and Have them checked the Moroso is not very good tool. Some of them are on the money and some are way off.
Well i pulled some springs had them tested they were only 118 psi at 1.900 ou: I installed the new spring and checked them with the moroso tool and there right at 160 psi I go to the track next week see what happens the car was feeling real flat above 6000
