going to redo mine soon....since i need to replace what i'm thinking is a burnt valve anyway, i figure i'll go ahead and do these since i know mine are leaking oil.

for street application, what exactly do the teflon seals do? there's practically no price difference, so i was just wondering if anyone can tell me a reason NOT to go with the semi or full teflon seals?

(well, upon closer inspection TA doesn't offer the full teflon in stock sizes, but the question on the semi still stands.)

David - Personally, I would put the Viton seals on (rubber with metal bands on the side). They work great!

I've never been a huge fan of the teflon seals for a true street engine. Great for racing, but in some ways, I think they keep 'too much' oil off of the stems. You need 'some' oil for lubrication.

*I've recently found a new PC type seal that looks like the best of both worlds. Competition Products carries them - http://www.competitionproducts.com/page22.html - they're made by VTO. If you notice, they don't have the metal band at the top of the seal like the teflon seals shown just above them. Also, notice the desciption - "design allows very small amount of oil for guide/stem lubrication"!! Easier to install too!!:TU:
