I had a question regarding valve cover gaskets; On a race motor running a vacuum pump, What would work best? I'm sure any parts store would have gaskets, probably reasonably priced too, would they be provide good enough a seal, or like most Buick parts, do I need to by the "extra special super sealing gold cored gaskets, only available from top dollar parts"??? Gary I just use the ''parts store'' black neoprene. I glue them to the valve cover w/ 3M weatherstrip adhesive and they're good for years of service w/o leaks. I do run an air pump and the seal is good for that too.
