Pretty simple so no diagram needed. Distributor vacuum should be from direct source at base of carb. Brake booster is also a direct source that has a large fitting on the rear of the carb. The PCV should be connected to a large fitting at the front of the carb.

There's a small elbow fitting on the rear of the intake manifold for the line going to the heater controls and vacuum canister. You'll need to cap it off if you have a leak in the heater lines or switches.

    thank you for that explanation.

Dual quads are probably different. I'll have to look at the service manual

The transmission modulator needs manifold vacuum. In the 350-455, it comes off a fitting at the back of the intake manifold. Not sure on the Nailheads.

Where on the Dynaflow trans is the modulator? What does this do? I have fitted an Edlebrock 750 to my 58 Special, running the original 364 nailhead, but have so far capped off the port on the carb for the trans modulator. I have been having some issues with a flat spot when the throttle is only partly open, i am wondering if this is because I havent hooked up a vaccum line to the modulator.

AFAIK, there is no vacuum modulator in any Dynaflow.
