mhgs it just takes money !!

I have heard more opinions both ways that I am dizzy...
All the info and specs tell me that the v6 turbo forged pistons can be used in a 350...I sure would like to hear of someone that has done it before I become the guinea pig.
I plan on using the turbo pistons and then putting a blower on the small block...since there are no 350 forged pistons under $800 I would like to save a bit of the money to use for a blower.
Anyone out there that has info please share it.....Thanks

mark i think the difference is in the pin height. i was going to do the same thing. call weisco get a flat top made. they told me around 90$ a piston.

Yes the pin hieght is less than that of what the 350 is supposed to be but ....I see alot of after market pistons in the 1.80 rather than the 350 1.85 factory. Shouldnt really be an issue as long as i am machining for 8.5 or so.
More worried about the skirt dims and if there would be any issues on the clearance side....

you could try it. you'll have to get the extra two pistons balanced to match the other six.

    Buick 350 Forged

I have a new boxed set of 8 low compression forged pistons I bought for a Buick 350.
I can look in the shop and get the spec's for them if you are interested.

The part numbers for speed-pro pistons for the dis. hi. compresssion forged pistons was the same for the v-6 and the 350. Go to your local engine shop, the books have the pin height, ring thickness, spacing, etc, for all the pistons.

If you are talking an Eaton type blower, one just came out that is meant to be used with carbs.

These have been in the shop for some time and I think they have been discontinued. I found these specs, and I will try to confirm them. Also, I will look at work to see if I have any notes on these pistons. They are not the greatest custom blower piston, but are forged and should work on a budget. $250 and shipping.

Tom,those are the same pistons that I'm building my sbb with.L 2431F 030,all the specs are the same but the pin height figure which is 1.810" on mine vs. 1.825" on yours :Do No: .I ended up decking about .080" to leave the tops at .015" in the hole.Rod rebuilding will play a role here too.

Anyone tried the Venolia pistons? Cheep enough anyway.

I wish I had found these before I did the rebuild on my 350 or I would have used them and the compression would have been higher than the 7.8:1 that I have now:

In the notes section it states-

Will fit Buick V8 1968-81. Order balanced set of eight.
