v6 buick flywheel fit a v8?

Discussion in 'U-shift em' started by 70buickgs455kid, Nov 15, 2006.

  1. picked up a aluminum v6 buick flywheel at a swapmeet a couple weeks ago. Was wondering if it would work on a 455 or a 350? Wasn't sure if it would or not.
    thanks

The bolt pattern matches the 350. But, the shape of the 350 crank may not allow the V6 flywheel to fit. Not sure if this will be the case on the aluminum one.

I would think the balance betwen a V6 and a V8 would be way off. Different couples, harmonics, modes, etc.

I don't know, but think that the 350 is externally balanced. it might work with a 300 though...
