Guess it isn't lost lol. Wife said the cc company just automatically charged us a late fee. USPS strikes again. Mailed in plenty of time and the other 3 bills mailed out the same day were cashed at least a week ago. Post Covid post office sucks. I don't think they made any attempt to deliver when the weather got rough this winter. I will save the rant about the cc company
I ordered a product online which was sent USPS. 1) Left Wyandotte, MI (40 min drive from my home) 2) Arrived in Seatac, WA (wait what? all the way across the country) 3) Left Seatac, WA 4) Arrived Wilmington, OH (getting closer) 5) left Wilmington, OH 6) Arrived Brownstown, MI (even closer!) 7) left Brownstown, MI 8) Arrived Wyandotte, MI (....we've now gone full circle) 9) Left Wyandote, MI 10) Delivered The delivery of this package easily cost USPS more than 5x what I paid for the product.
Sometimes I think the tracking info is just a glitch. I mailed my passport in for renewal vail USPS Priority. The tracking info was wild, but ended with no result. There never was never a "delivered". I was kind of nervous, because I was going to need my passport, but there was nothing for me to do but wait. a couple weeks later, my new passport showed up. Checked the tracking info, same thing, still not delivered. Lucky me, I got my new passport.
I ordered 2 TH 400 shift cable brackets 2 weeks ago.Sent Mike Garrison payment, then Mike sent them to me.The tracking showed it was sent from Kansas city, then arrived in Harrisburg,Pa.Then it gets messy.Instead of being delivered to me,it goes back to Kansas City. Then,it returned to Harrisburg to then be delivered to me 4 days later than when the tracking said it was to be delivered. That's just one of the 1/2 dozen experiences I have been through.
Interesting to read about these postal experiences. Several months ago I mailed my credit card payment via Canada Post. There's no tracking available on regular mail. Only way to verify it was received is through checking my banking info. Imagine my surprise when my original, uncancelled envelope showed up in my mail box a week later!! Fortunately I can make payment at my credit union, which I did that day and wasn't late. A couple months later it took them 10 working days to deliver my payment, which incurred late fees. One phone call quickly cleared that up and those fees were waived. Paying in full and on time every month really helps. I no longer trust Canada Post for credit card payments. Nor will I switch to online banking or payments.
