Using Cometics head gaskets on a previously O-ringed block?

Hi Guys,

As the title question asks.....can Cometics head gaskets be used on a block that has already been O-ringed? Has anyone tried doing so? The results?o No:

My buddy installed Cometics on his o-ringed block. We just filed down the o-rings. Becareful not to file the deck. So far so good, we'll pound on it at the Midwest Buick Challenge this weekend. But so far on the street (lots of passes) we've had no issues.

Just pull the o-rings out.. been there, done that, no problems.
