long time since ive posted about whats going on with my skylark. gonna try and make this short, but we'll see. Put new TA Valve Covers on (powder black). love them, art work for engines. Cam(poston 114)/Lifters(poston's hi-rev)/Carb(Holley 650 DP)/Intake (stock,waiting to be powdercoated) ready to go in, possibly waiting to get new valve springs and a new convertor so i'll notice a big difference. been running rough for about a month, put new delco plugs n wires and cap on it. still running rough, timing needs to be set. waiting to get ahold of a timing light. car backfired on my after my coil shorted out on my new valve covers because I was stupid and didnt mount it back down after I got a long enough coil wire. almost blew my whole wiring harness (2 fuses instead). backfire cause driver side muffler to blow in half (literally) so now it sounds like i've got a big ole' cam in it and some open headers. tempted to cut the other off and run straight pipes till I have enough for some flowmasters with 3'' X pipe. having tons of fun with the exhaust being as loud as it is now, no tickets...yet. forgot, pics here : http://s184.photobucket.com/albums/x192/71skylark/ Michael.
