Well, thanks for all the help so far guys, I just figured Id let you know how things were going. Well the fuel flow issue was definitely the fuel pump. I still have got some leaks though, and it appears that its mostly the tank itslef so I might try and seal this tank from the inside, or I might just spring for a new one. Anybody know anywhere to get a good price on a gas tank?

Anyways, I put the new pump in and changed the oil cause the bad one leaked all kinds of fuel into the pan and took it out for a ride and all was well. Next, I came home and started messin with the distributor. All I did there was replace the stock springs with some crane springs(one yellow and one blue). Based on the directions, that should give me full advance at 2800. Not sure though cause I havent got a tach. I went more moderate at first cause the tank is full of 89 and I wanted to play it safe at first, and it woke up quite a bit. Today Im gonna swap in the two silver springs and see how it feels with the advance coming in a little earlier. I didnt do anything else yet cause Im still waiting on my coil. Once the coil gets here, Ill put in the pertronix kit and coil, and when I put it back in, Ill set the timing right. Currently, the initial timing is still set to factory specs. I didnt advance it any cause I havent had the distributor totally apart yet to install the bushing to limit total advance, so once again, Im just gonna hang on for that so I can do it all in one shot when the coil comes in(should be tomorrow).

So far, just a good pump and a set of lighter springs with no other changes have helped this motor out a good bit. Im eager to see how it feels with cranes adjustable vacuum advance put in and set up right, as well as the proper springs with the proper advance curve dialed in. Next step is to head down the shop again and pester those guys to find those 4 barrel manifolds, get a carb, and sooner or later Im gonna replace the stock rear with an 8.5 incher(maybe a 12 bolt if I found one at a good price) and get some gears in there. Thanks for the help so far guys.
