i read an article that the 3 speed turbohydro tranny was first available in the full size chev in 1965 ? i am dubious about that because the first one i remember was in 1968 . ideas ?
The TH350 was made available for the first time in 1968. The 3-speed TH400, however, was made available in 1964 model Buicks. It was then redesigned (different case and valve body) for 1965, offered for all GM divisions and remained virtually the same through the 1990s. Since the TH350 & TH400 are both Turbo Hydramatic transmissions, the article you were reading is correct.
