Anyone know who might have trunk spatter paint in rattle can in stock?
It seems like everywhere I look it's not in stock and back ordered. grey/black or Aqua/black.
I would take either one at this point.

thats the same thing I am running into, no one has it. GM says discontinued. I think there was a few quarts available on Ebay. might just have to get a quart and spray it .

Just spoke to Eastwood. They said the plant they get it from had a fire. They have tested a few other sources and they haven't met their standards. They have removed it from their site with no ETA. He did sound confident they will get it back but has no idea when.

I need 2 more cans of Eastwood for touch up and my spare tire board... damn....

Looks like Zolatone is once again selling their aqua. For a while you could not get it from them

That's a blast from the past! I haven't heard Zolatone mentioned in decades. When I was a kid, Zolatone was a verb - You Zolatoned something. If you had said "splatter paint," I wouldn't have known what you were talking about.

We have been trying to get it for about 2 years now. It still is a viable part # but Napa has been way slow for a few years.

I will give a check tomorrow and post where it is in the country if out there.

I did. It is still unavailable. Sorry I forgot this thread, I will check the paint inventory out every week or so to try to find where it is.

All you need to do is paint the trunk black..then use aqua base with very low psi....will look better than anything you can buy

I love how articulate TPP marketing team is:

"PAINT MUST BE APPLIED BY A PRIMER GUN OR ONE OF THE CHEAP TAIWAN PAINT GUNS. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO CLEAR COAT LIKE MOST ALL OTHER TRUNK SPLATTER PAINTS ON THE MARKET.

LAYS OUT LIKE THE FACTORY CONCOURS QUALITY AND COMES COMPLETE WITH DIRECTIONS. THIS IS A PETROLEUM BASED PRODUCT LIKE NO OTHER ON THE MARKET.

AQUA/BLACK COLOR ISSUED ON MOST ALL GM YEARS FROM 1964-1977."

Here's another interesting one for TPP paint. There is nothing on the can telling what to use for cleaning your equipment. I called them to inquire. After a long time on hold they came back with 'we have no idea'. Cool!

I used lacquer thinner. That worked fine.

Also, another important thing. They claim a quart will do several trunks. No way. I sprayed the entire quart to cover my trunk.

Years ago,I spatter painted my trunk with what was then Eastwood's rattlecan aqua and dark gray trunk paint. It did have to be cleared over. Looked great. A couple of years ago ,I discovered that mice had urine stained the spatter painted trunk, leaving rusty looking stains that no amount of cleaning and scrubbing could remove. No problem...I thought. I went to Eastwood to order some more of the same trunk paint. They no longer carry the same paint. So I tried Thorntons trunk paint. Not even close to matching the rest of my trunk. So, rather than strip the trunk clean and start from scratch ,I'm leaving well enough alone . The trunk mat covers the bad spots when trunk is open for viewing and is rolled up and stored otherwise.
