I am looking for a set that is correct for a deck lid that is set up with a rear spoiler. Is there after market heavy duty available?

I think the torsion rods are the same, they're locked in the first or middle notch for a regular deck lid- the third notch for a spoiler- I think....

I was wondering about that as well. I will give it a try.

Be very careful when you move those rods....they are under load when the trunk is up. I use a large pair of channel locks....about 2 feet long to move them to different slots.

10-4, I have removed and reinstalled several times over the years, it can be quite a time!:af:

The GSX registry denotes a larger diameter rod set to handle the added weight of the spoiler. Not sure if this is true or not but I'd bet Duane would.

I had it in mind that there was a larger diameter rod set also hence why I was looking for a set or interchange otpions with other makes / models or aftermarket?

On my 68 Skylark, I need to replace my broken trunk torsion springs and came across this thread. Buick aftermarket springs are not out there, that I can find. True Connections in Riverside CA sell a set for the 68-72 Chevelle. Anyone know if these will work in my Buick? I think they will, but thought I'd ask anyway.

70-72 convertible has one part #.
70-72 coupe & sedan has another part #.
70-72 with rear spoiler has yet another #.

In case anyone's interested, the Chevelle trunk lid torsion rod (I only needed one replaced) popped in perfectly. Now I have an extra incase the other one goes.

It makes sense it would fit as the lids interchange.
