just finished with my turbo 400 to tremec 600 swap in my 69 sport wagon. just posting this in case anyone needs any info. best move i ever made. car is way more funv to drive. just have to replace the 8.2 posi before it grenades. cheers pete
Pete How much did you have to hack the trans tunnel to make it fit? I had considered putting one in my original 4 speed car but I did not want to hack up the trans tunnel to do it. Thanks
I went from the t 400 to tremec so I'm not sure if the tunnels are the same. I cut straight down the middle, pried the tunnel apart about 2 inches and tacked a strip down the center. the carpet fits the same. companies like keisler and 5 spd make a template and have a complete set of instructions but unless you buy the works they may not sell or talk to you. i did this whole project blind, scared me at first but all slowly came together.
