I'm looking for people to be a safety net for my wife, daughter and 4 other bull riders who are travelling to Oklahoma City from Western PA. They are leaving tomorrow around 6pm and will be taking the following route: I-80 to I-76 in OH I-76 to I-71 in OH I-71 to I-270 in OH I-270 to I-70 thru Indiana & Illinois I-70 to I-55 toward St. Louis I-55 to I-44 into OK I-44 to US-75 to Henryetta at I-40 If you'd be willing to give a phone number/cell number in case of an emergency it would be really appreciated. They are going to the Terry Don West bull riding school being given this weekend. Thanks in advance, Lon Seigworth
Im in topeka Kansas sorta close to KCMO/ I-70 area if that helps?? email me for my numbers if it will help mike@mrbuick.com
Ok-- Sorry I couldn't resist this--the danger doesn't begin until they get to their destination......bull riding!!???...You need to get a phone number they can call when they are riding those bulls!!! OK--back to the regular programming. Thanks, Patton
My thoughts exactly..............They are going for BULL RIDING lessons, and you think THEY need protection on the road??? I think the rest of US need protection from THEM along this route!! I'll make sure not to cross their path!! You gotta be one tuff dude, Lon!! Handling a wife that takes bull riding lessons!!!!! :eek2:
I thinking that last statement myself! I grew up about 90 miles north of Tulsa. If she has spare time, tell her to go to the Gilcrease (sp) Museum in Tulsa. Big Squeeze is in that neck of the woods.
Frank, It's not the wife taking lessons - it's my 15 year-old that does ou: ! Am I happy she does it, not really. But there are worse things she could be doing - drugs, drinking, sneaking out. With this the wife is with her at all times and since she can ride and cover she has the respect of a lot of the guys - who take NO BULL (pardon the pun) from anyone who has something bad to say or try to do anything improper towards her. She has been riding for a year and a half along with barrel racing, pole bending, break-away roping and goat tying. She is also an accomplished shooter (which I can proudly say has been mostly under my instruction) having placed 3rd in both trap and .22 out of 16 (15 boys) on the PA High School Rodeo Team. As for the wife, I've seen her punch a horse square in the head, hard enough to loosen the setting in her wedding ring :eek2:. I learned a long time ago that she doesn't have to get a frying pan :spank:. Here's Alyssa at a winter rodeo series she attends -
As for the wife, I've seen her punch a horse square in the head, hard enough to loosen the setting in her wedding ring ya know, as soon as i saw this i was just about sure i knew where in PA Knox is located. checked it on the map and sure nuff, you're about 20 miles due north of Adrian. say hi to Dave and Nancy Shaeffer for me if you see em, wouldja? :TU:
they made it out & back okay and almost without incident. I want to thank everyone who stepped up and gave me "comfort" numbers in case something did happen. Lon OO====OO
