Will the stock Dynaflow for a 322 fit the 264 in my 55 special, or would I have to do some converting? Not a problem either way; I'd just like to know before I had a new trany sittin on my bench.

P.S. I've been under the mistaken impression that "dynaflow" transmissions were just Buick tranys. Mine is a three on the tree, so
    if not dynaflow,
what type of trany do I have?

I've got an automatic dynaflow tranny in my 55 special with a 264 nailhead....and I've been told that I can easily swap the 264 for a 322...I'm leaning towards giving it a shot if I can locate a 322 in my area for a decent price. Plan B is to pull the whole drive line out and drop in a 425/400 turbo...i'm not sure what I need for a rearend if I go this route though.

I'm not sure about the 3-speed tranny though.

Found a pretty sweet 322 on ebay...but I don't think my stock tranny could handle this one....check it out.

I think he might be asking a little too much considering how long the motor has been setting.

Anyone have any thought on weather or not the 55 dynaflow could handle a motor this strong?
