My first Buick is looking at the scrap heap if I can't get a cheap turbo hydra-matic 350 for her.. i am in PA and will pickup within 300 miles for a good cheap tramsission.... Anyone got one laying around?? Thanks Buick-heads.. Tony
Tony,I have a 350 and a 4 speed out of a 85 Regal.Either one $50.00 you pick up.And I have some parts for regals and GN [hoods,trunk leads...]all reasonable.BrunoD.
Thanks my friend... I need an automatic which will bolt right up... i believe a 1968-1974 TH350. Maybe some other more knowledgeable members can verify or clarify this... STILL LOOKING
I have a good 70 Th350 for sale. its a long tail shaft though, not sure if the regal had a short or long. I'm located in Buffalo, bout an hour north of Erie. I'm asking 150 for it. Changing the Tailshaft isn't a huge deal, as long as you've been in trannys before. Let me know..
I guess you did not understand.I said,I have a 350 trainy and a 4speed automatic.The 350 is from a 71 skylark.BrunoD.
got a turbo 350 short tail was in 68 cutlass shift kit been sitting fluid still nice and red good as far as i know not a 68 pretty sure was rebuilt back in 99 been sitting since 01 might even have manuel valve body dont remember100.00?
Would my '74 regal have the same 350 tanny as a 70 or 71 skylark?? I am admitting my lack of knowledge here... I don't know if I have a long tail or a short tail 350... How can I tell? I know get under and look,,, but what am I looking for? Bruno... i may be near Hickstown NY this week...and $ 50 is in my price range. Is the tranny in working order? Why might mine have failed??? The engine and tranny only have 78,000 miles? Thanks for the help in answering these questions!! tony
The 70 Skylark transmission will interchange with the 74 Regal. Same exact tranny. You have the short tailshaft and that it what this one is. Only difference is you have to use your detent cable off the 74 , the 70 version went up to the gas pedal, the 74 went to the carb. ( You have to take that cable off anyways.... ) Lee, if you need it and no one buys it I could bring it back the next time I go up there.
