Welp...Looks like it's time for new trailer tires. Anyone here running Goodyear Endurance on their trailer? I like the fact they are made in the good old USofA, but if there is a better option, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance.
I bought US Made Goodyear "Assurance". I've seen too many imported tires fail in a very short time. The tires that came on my trailer were US Made Goodyears and out lasted anyone I knew that bought the china tires by an absurd amount.

The trailer is stored outdoors so I now put covers over the new tires since dry totting is always our issue.
Just put a set of the Goodyears on my trailer and towed it 2k miles round trip to BG. Rode smooth as silk. I bought them off tire rack
Jim! Buddy!! Them tires still got tread on them!! I put Maxxis tires on both my open and enclosed trailers a few years ago. No regrets.
The best trailer tire out there will fail if they are too old, too low on air pressure for your speed and weight. They seldom fail because they don't have enough tread.
So the enclosed trailer I have was used primarily as a storage unit for my riviera for the past 10 years. The trailer traveled a sum total of 140 miles from where we bought it back to our house. The tires were literally brand new. The nubs weren't even worn off. Its the extended duration on the highway combined with the heat generated that does in an old tire. When I replaced them last month, I almost threw the old ones on the scrap pile. I took them home and put them up on Craigslist. Got $200 for them! Landscaper bought them. Eased the bite of the new ones
Me and trailer tires were not getting along well on my trip to BG and back. I ended up replacing 3 of the 4, before I got back home. The owner of the trailer swore that they were only 18-months old. Next time I tow my car that far, I think I'm going to buy my own trailer and keep good quality tires on it.
I ended up buying a trailer tire pressure/temperature monitor. Hopefully, it will give me enough warning to impending carnage that could happen. Got home from BG this year, parked the trailer...no issues. Went out several days later to mow to the lawn and one tire was flat! Bought the trailer in 2017 new. Never had an issue. Had it plugged/patched at Discount Tire. Tech said screw had barely punctured the inside. It was recommended to me to buy the highest ply count tire you fit on the trailer.
I’ve gotten to where I run LT truck tires on my open 20 ft trailer. You never see a car tire come apart like a trailer tires. 225/75/15 LT tire. Never had an issue with them
10 ply 15 in. Trailer tires are only rated for 65 mph max, going over that will guarantee you a failure eventually, learned this after many blowouts and did some research, speed = heat = separation.
So wanted revisit this discussion as I need new tires for my small cargo trailer it’s a 12 x 6 single 3500 axle , gets mainly long freeway miles loaded After 7 years the orig ones need to go. What’s the latest suggestion on brands ? Also I’ve heard guys say don’t get radials get bias tires ? Any options on this thought ? Orig I had radials and they seemed to work great for what I use it for
Anything 10 ply and look at speed rating, it’s what really matters, they all have relatively same weight capacity. Should cost about $100-130 mounted/ balanced each.
