Topcat (Wild Bill) 24"x36" posters

    This will probably get removed and or get my butt handed to me but here is goes.
    Bought two posters of GUS from Bill and they showed up damaged. The box they were shipped in was a cheap light fixture box that got crushed an bent in half destroying the posters. After several attempts to contact Bill, email, Pm's after he requested pictures I got no response after one week of waiting. I resorted to making a comment on the original thread days ago only to get several harsh comments from Bill today. He is not going to replace the posters nor refund the 24.00 (yea it is only 24.00 but that is not the point). A seller has the responsibility to ship something in a safe manner and when it doesn't make it there safe it is their responsibility to make it right regardless of who they are on this forum. I am a nobody here and Bill is a popular main member who is well known and there will be many to come to his defense but it still doesn't make him right on my dealings. This is my dealings with Bill and I am very unsatisfied with his service.

    Because I am new here doesn't mean I am the bad guy. Bill maybe popular and well know in the Buick world for many years but it still gives him no right to disrespect me. You can keep your money as this isn't your place to take care of Bill's responsability as a seller. He knows he shipped it in a light fixture box and not a poster box like he says. I posted his Pm asking me which box I got and it was the light fixture box not made for shipping. I waited over a week for a response from him after a request by him for pictures. Never heard a word after that but yet he was on here everyday.

    the other thread has been locked, a moderator got involved, and Bill sent you a refund...dude..let it go, and just dont do business with him anymore.

    This "im new" thing is getting old...you made your point, you have the same voice here as a guy with 10,000 posts we get it, you where wronged...Bill stepped up and did the right thing..

    let it go or it will eat you alive...if you rock this boat hard enough, the boats gonna flip on ya....the mods have little tollerence for this type of stuff here...by closing the other thread, the matter is over...

    People that have done business with him will, and those that choose not to, wont...

    Im not trying to be a d!ck, im trying to be friendly..let it go

    Bill has never refunded me a dime as of 9:05pm my time (current time) so where ever you heard that it isn't true. I am not surprised at the other thread being lock. I have been wronged by a popular member and people don't like me sticking up for myself. That is OK as I know who I am as a person and for 24 bucks or 24 thousand, I would have made it right the minute I found out there was a problem. That is the way to do business in my book, I am sorry other people do not feel the same way.

    I know you are not being a dick.

    Earnhardt- I promise you your post HERE will NOT be removed. However, if Bill corrects this situation, this FORUM would expect you to post the resolution.

    In regards to your feelings of 'insignificant' and comments about Bill's status holds no merit. Just the fact you are on this forum makes you PART of this community. Come to shows and events, meet Buick owners local to you, reach out to any of us. We're friendly, open and very easy going. Attend a national event- BPG or the GSCA nats to see first hand what I am speaking of.

    Speaking as a member and NOT a moderator, the better resolution should have been through PM's and emails. Bill, like almost ALL of the members here, would have contacted you as soon as they could. For some, that could be 2-6 weeks. This is a HOBBY for many of us and treat it as such.

    I would have no problem doing that as that would be the right thing to do.

    I do deal with several guys on this site with the quantities of 70-72 Buick GS parts cars I have and everyone of them are stand up guys. I am not new to the Buick parts business but yes I am sort of new to this site. I gave (for free) a 68 GS hood to a member of this site as I am not into those years and he is. He has treated me with nothing but respect in our dealings over the years and it was my way of saying thank you. I am not looking to be known as the jerk on V8buick but at the sametime I don't want to be a push over either. Trust me, I get enough hate mail for crushing these Buick's but there are many that have been saved because I have the guts to scrap them.

    Not trying to pile on but after reading the original post wasn't it said that you would have new ones anyday? What happened to that. Seems like if you just had another run of them made you would just ship them again. Just my opinion. I hate Mustangs and Kia's so people already don't like me so... Ha ha. Seriously though this sure seems like a simple issue gone very bad. I once had a heavy part shipped in a padded envelope. Was hanging out when I got it. Dude refunded my cash that day. Hope this all ends well. Look like cool posters. Pretty much anyone buying them is buying something that we all like. We can all get along eh?

    Bill never told me anything was being replaced and only mentioned it after yesterdays posts started so I have no idea why that keeps being said. Matter of fact, he never told me anything as he never replied to the email with the photo's he requested, he never replied to the PM's after waiting over a week and he never replied to the post till several days later after making my comment of still waiting. All anyone has to do is go back and read all the post prior to all this and they can see Bill never mentions taking care of anything after knowing the damage had happened. Not sure why I am the bad guy in all this and have fault because I want someone to take care of their responsibility as a seller. Never once did I demanded him to refund anything NOW as some have said, all I wanted was an answer to what he was going to do about it. He gave me his answer yesterday and that was he wasn't going to do a thing about it. It is nothing more than what anyone else would want regardless of what they post. I have been in the parts business for a very long time and the worst thing you can do is ignore a problem because that problem isn't going to go away even if it is only 24.00.

    I have only read second hand that Bill refunded the money, but there is no refund issued on my account as of this morning and I know PP is instant payment. So again something being said by others, other than Bill himself. It only makes matters worse for me because members think I have been paid and I should just go away. Well I haven't been paid and if I was, Bill would be the first to correct this post and set the record straight.

    WOW palsy....Enough is enough, Bill has been busy with his Mum. Put yourself in his shoes and take a breather. If you don't good results by the weekend, then start bitchin'.....Bill has never burned me on ANY transaction...even befor I joined V8...Take a pill and relax. You will get paid back.....

    I know Bill is having some personal problems I am not a cold hearted a$$ and it has been well over a week almost 12 days since this began, that is why I am bitching as you put it. Bill says he refunded the money and I am here to say he hasn't. He has known about the damage from the day they showed up and he has made it very clear it is not his problem. I never once demanded a refund or replacement and that is fact. I waited for a response to the email he requested with photo's and I never heard a word from him after that. I had to read on the thread (ship at your own risk) after he was told they were damaged. I guess if this makes me the most hated man on V8buick than so be it.

    Bill did not say that he had refunded the purchase, rather he posted in that thread that he WOULD refund it. Give it a day or 2.

    I had to go look at an earlier in the day made post that it got added to at 8:18pm last night that he was sending a refund. If you look above a member said to me Bill had issued me refund and to let it go, that is the only thing I had to go on becuase Bill has not informed me directly of anything. See communication is everything and I believe I have done my part with emails, PM's (as a Mod I am sure you can read them for member protection) and my comment on the thread days ago before this blew up yesterday. I have no problem waiting since I seen that just a few minutes ago.

    It is not anyone else's responsibility to take care of Bill's responsibility as a seller. As long as people reply to my thread I will continue to comment back specially when they are not helping the situation but adding more fuel to the fire. As per members request I will go away and never come back once Bill does what he says. I will correct the Bad Dealings and remove this post but until then, I will continue to reply.

    If your getting antsy about your refund, I have no problem laying it out for Bill if he's tied up with family matters. I would do it for anyone I consider a friend. My offer to refund you stands if you reconsider.
