It appears that the previous owner cut the plug off of the wiring that plugs into the top switch and rigged a momentary switch to operate the top.I have tried various size connectors to reconnect the wires to the switch with no success.
I dissambeled the switch and cleaned the contacts and would like to have the switch work as it should.
I need a plug or suggestions for alternate connectors
    any help would be appreciated.

Can you post a picture of the connectors on the switch, ie where the plug would attach?

What year and body style are we talking about?

    Larry,
Would be a big help if you stated the year and model of your car.

If a 68-72....you can use the switch and wiring from any 68-72 Skylark Sportwagon.

    My Bad:spank:
    I have a 72 Skylark Convert.
The switch has 3 round prongs that,I think, get a plug with the wires attached
    Thanks for the help

I don't know what the pins looks like for the '72, but on my '67 its three male blades; one centered above the other two, all laying the same way. A plug for a floor-mount dimmer switch is perfect fit. Stop by your local NAPA; mine had 'em on the shelf. :TU:

    Greg.
Thanls for that tip. Mine has round prongs, in a row across the back of the switch.
The tip on a wagon rear window switch sounds like an easier find than a convert.
Anyone have a wagon with power rear window that's being parted out, could use a rear switch plug.

u might also consider augmenting your convert switch with a relay so that the switch, when connected to the relay, will not end up getting fried.

I'm with you on the relay deal. As soon as I find a plug, I will re-wire my switch and install a relay
