1968 GS Convertible. The other day while putting my top down, I noticed that one side was lower than the other when I reached about the 1/2 way point. I stopped and checked in the trunk because I thought something was blocking that side. Nothing there. I then looked at the frame and discovered that one of the braces at the fold spot had bent out. After some pushing a bending back and the help of a friend, we got the top to go down all the way. Then when I put the top up later the brace is bend out conciderably. What caused this and is it possible to fix? Can I buy a new brace? How do I get it apart? I will post some pictures later. Thanks
When those braces bend....most likely from someone sitting on the top when it is down.....will take some work to get it back into shape.
