  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy..   3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. Top frame questions???

    1968 GS Convertible.

    The other day while putting my top down, I noticed that one side was lower than the other when I reached about the 1/2 way point. I stopped and checked in the trunk because I thought something was blocking that side. Nothing there. I then looked at the frame and discovered that one of the braces at the fold spot had bent out. After some pushing a bending back and the help of a friend, we got the top to go down all the way.

    Then when I put the top up later the brace is bend out conciderably. What caused this and is it possible to fix? Can I buy a new brace? How do I get it apart?

    When those braces bend....most likely from someone sitting on the top when it is down.....will take some work to get it back into shape.

    Thanks for the reply George - but no one has sat on the top as long as I have had the car.
