Looking over the IHRA race last weekend I see Tom Rix went 9.55 at 137-139 in his Top Stock Apollo!!!!

Absolutley jaw dropping :eek2: considering the restrictions/rules.

    Congrat's to Tom!!!!!

    Tom,
Nice! I am not a fan of red cars, but I love that car. Where can I see more pics or video of it?

Hate to admit it, but this is a second gear launch, still went a 1.29 60', 9.68@137.

    Great Job Tom!

Tom I like what you have done with that car. Glad to see you having some fun in IHRA. I've been looking around for some other deal too. May have to look at IHRA.

Congrats Tom! I would definitely like to see some more pics of that car!

Ps. Thanks very much for the reply and the suspension advice. I'll be concentrating on the front of the car this winter and see what she does at the track next year.

Tom, What are you running for rear end gears and are those the 30 X 9 Hoosier radial slicks? Gotta buy new tires for the Skylark this winter and trying to decide what to buy.

    My guess is 373.

Probably a good guess, Jeff. I run a 3.73 in the skylark but with a 10.5 X 28 inch tire. Trap rpm is a bit above 6000. A 30 radial would bring it down some.

And the answer is..... 3.90 Pro Gears. I have always ran 4.10 Pro gears but the thought of 7-7100 rpm in good air scared me with steel rods and heavy pistons. Made the swap the day before we left for North Carolina.
Slicks are the 9" Hoosier lightweight radials with a 94" circumfrence. Carl, call me and maybe I can help on slicks.
